The Center

The centre’s base is the exclusive home spot „Smile Beach“, just outside the capital Houmt Souk, at the beginning of the “Zone Touristique”. The centre is open year-round - 7/7 – for kitesurf courses, equipment rental, equipment sales (new and used equipment) and kite & board repair.

The Spots

Smile Beach
GLOBALKITE owns an exclusive 800m beach on the enormous 32km² North shore lagoon. This beach is, in fact, the only accessible and safe access to the lagoon, well maintained by the centre staff, free from obstacles, stones and vegetation. The lagoon offers exceptional conditions for beginners as well as advanced kitesurfers since it is shallow with a soft sandy ground and without currents or any obstacles in the water. Beginners will find their first steps very easy in the absence of waves, current and the need to swim. Advanced kiters will find it easy to train and dial-in their favourite tricks in these “laboratory” conditions. Any kiter may simply walk back to the shore throughout the whole lagoon

La Rose
This spot unites the best conditions for beginners and advanced kiters in the autumn / winter season. The seaside offering an exciting playground for wave freaks and downwind runs is separated by a 100m stretch of sand from the small lagoon, which is the exclusive training zone for advanced beginners.

The Wind

The wind blows year-round a laminar 3-6 Bft. breeze across the island. Summers are lighter with N and NE winds (side onshore on the GLOBALKITE) spots, averaging 12-15 knots. Winter brings stronger winds and a decent swell, giving beginners the chance to train with smaller kites and having advanced kiters explore the 3rd dimension with intermediate-sized kites.

Our instructors are internationally certified and have at least 3 years of teaching experience. Theory and practice will be taught in your mother tongue.
